It's possible to detect a somewhat calmer, more controlled disposition in this sequel compared with its predecessor.. . Provides a little dance in its step to lift it above the shrill or the innocuous.. . Action and comedy are more impressive here than in the first film.. As long as it's entangled in multi-culti absurdity, Rush Hour 2 is actually a better time than the first one.. While the rest of it isn't really any good, it's certainly no chore to watch.. Lacking in spontaneity and freshness....
