despite the childlike nature of the story, Lady in the Water will prove too confusing for most kids, which is a shame, since they're also the ones most like to greet that giant-eagle business with something other than a derisive laugh.. Excellent performances from both Washington and Reynolds can't can't save Safe House from its boilerplate-thriller bones.. Exquisite visuals aside, 9 plays like a sock monkey version of Doom.. It's pretty good.. "Safe House" is an idea for a movie.. It ... shows ...
